Virginia and Maryland Immigration Law Attorney

Immigration Laws Are Becoming More Complex Every Year

Proposed changes in the United States immigration laws have amplified the need to hire a skilled a immigration attorney. All too often, non-citizens delay resolving immigration problems until their options become extremely limited or vanish. I am interested in helping non-U.S. citizens quickly obtain the most stable immigration status possible.

Most of my clients who are interested in immigration advice are sponsored by family or their employers. However, there are self-sponsorship options for battered spouses, asylum seekers, and professionals with extraordinary skill or ability.

In addition to handling employment and family immigration matters, I also handle nonimmigration visa issues. These visas are typically obtained for professionals and skilled laborers, exchange professors, researchers, trainees, students, fiancé(e)s, treaty traders, intracompany specialists, religious workers, business visitors and tourists.

Non-U.S. citizens are increasingly at risk by the enhanced enforcement of immigration laws and regulations. Too often, the result for many noncitizens is a Notice to Appear before an immigration judge and placement in custody, parole or on bond. When a client does end up on notice, I have the experience needed to negotiate with Department of Homeland Security enforcement officers and to appear before immigration judges. Among the available alternatives to deportation are waivers, voluntary departure, and appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals or the Citizen and Immigration Services Administrative Appeals Office. As a skilled immigration and naturalization lawyer, I am committed to working closely with my clients to quickly obtain the most stable immigration status possible.
